Will Ride for Food, part 1

 Will ride for food

Have you ever watched a great bike video, and thought to yourself: “gee Self, I could do that if I could ride all day long like the pros. Yup, if I didn’t have to work all day long, I’d have by skills honed sharp enough to make Aaron Chase look like a monkey on a tricycle.” Well, leave it to the guys at Transition Bikes to burst your bubble. The Transition crew set out to highlight their riders who manage to hold down a full-time job, while at the same time riding at a level high enough to earn a spot on a factory team. The fact that these riders have the same amount of riding time as the rest of us, but are able to throw down with the best riders out there, is a testament to their skill and dedication.

The video is being released in two parts, with the second segment to follow next week. The riding is solid and there’s a nice mix of park, dirt jump, and trail riding, with some coverage of Crankworx as the prize for watching to the end. Bonus points for a solid soundtrack, with some Jurassic 5 and Swollen Members to get you in the mood. Minus points, however, for the coverage of the Crankworx festival including just filming the coverage on the big screen for Evan Holmgren’s otherwise awesome run. All told, though, this video is a great tribute to some of the hardest working guys in mountain biking.
