Bang Bang: the new video from Aaron Chase

Bang Bang

Aaron Chase is a pretty unique guy in the dirt scene. On the one hand, he’s a hugely talented rider, and has been a driving force in the progression of freeride in recent years, helping the sport shift from simple hucking and dropping to its current focus on flow, technical tricks, and creative lines. On the other hand, Chase has established himself as a very competent director and producer of freeride films, and is responsible for the excellent Counterparts and Killing Time videos. It’s this directing and producing side of Chase which is responsible for his new video, Bang Bang.

Bang Bang’s premise is tagging along with two big-name freeriders, Chase and Cam McCaul, as they compete in the Qashqai Urban Challenge series. The video definitely won’t be without its ups and downs, as it also includes Chase’s season ending injury which he sustained after crashing hard off of a ladder bridge and compressing his vertebrae. What should make the film extra-engaging is seeing how Chase deals with the injury and the forced recovery time which goes along with it.

The video is premiering at Sea Otter on April 17, and will be available on DVD shortly after. Until then, you’ll just have to get excited from the trailer, so check it out after the jump.
