If you ride a bike, and you don’t lust after owning a Dekerf, you should. Dekerf is one of the mainstays of the high-end, handbuilt corner of the mountain bike world, and Dekerf bikes shun the hype and glamour of mountain bike trendiness in favour of ultimate quality, polish, and simplicity. Riding a Dekerf is a great counterpoint to riding the ‘latest and greatest’, as it shows just how satisfying a smart, impeccably built frame can be to ride.
It’s big news in this small niche of mountain biking, then, that Chris Dekerf has taken on a new partner at Dekerf. Michael Golinski is joining the Dekerf crew to handle sales and marketing, which will leave Chris more time to do what he does best: build frames on the shop floor. Chris recently discussed the new partnership in an interview with BikeRadar, saying that with Golinski’s help and ”…the recent market upsurge for handmade bikes, the groundwork is now set to take Dekerf products to the next level.” Given the heavy competition among niche builders, we’re eager to see how Golinski and Dekerf will grow the brand in the coming years.
